| Availability | Enquire via Dobermann Clubs or KUSA for reputable breeders and healthy puppies. Due to popularity of the breed, a lot of indiscriminate breeding is taking place by unregistered backyard breeders. Be prepared to wait for well-bred puppies! | |
| Some questions to ask Breeders | Ask if possible to see both parents, their registration papers and original health tests. Are the parents registered with KUSA? Will the puppies be KUSA registered? Is proof of vaccination, deworming and microchipping available? Ask for references of previous litters owners. Do they exhibit or compete with their dogs? |
