| Feeding | Feed a premium dog food, especially when growing. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for age and weight. Fresh water must always be available. | |
Health |
Good to excellent. Orthopaedic problems are the main concern. HD is strictly controlled in KUSA registered stock but other joint disorders like Elbow Dysplasia, Osteochondrosis and ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligaments can also occur. | |

| Some questions to ask Breeders | Rottweilers are social and friendly in the presence of their owners so the sire and dam must be approachable. Request to view original health certificates and pedigrees. Are the puppies KUSA registered? Have they been de-wormed and vaccinated? Have the parents been independently assessed for their compliance to the Breed Standard? |
